Twelve years later meyerman brings you their sophomore album, aptly titled happy to see you, for release 7/15/23 on pretty decent records. The new record re-introduces the band with a new lineup, and an amped-up brand of their typical clever, tight, powerpop anthems. Once again, Kurt Reil of New Jersey’s legendary powerpop band, the Gripweeds was chosen to engineer the project. Listeners familiar with meyerman’s debut release will find enough of what they loved to dig right in, but the new record also just feels like an exciting and natural next step for the band.
